QForm-Extrusion is a single program that integrates all the features required for analysis and optimization of the most complicated extrusion processes. It is being successfully used for simulation of solid, semi-hollow and hollow profiles as well as extrusion through multi-hole dies. The extruded material can be aluminum alloys, brass, steel and other metals.

The program is fast and reliable. It works on a 64-bit hardware platform and takes advantage of parallel computing on PCs with up to 8 CPUs under Windows. A series of simulations can be run overnight or over weekends using the built-in batch mode.

QForm7utilises a completely new interface, data structure and algorithms written with the most modern programming techniques that allow far more power and flexibility than the previous versions of the program. The new program runs significantly faster thanks to advanced algorithms and full parallelisation of the computations. 

QForm7 offers a well-balanced combination of high performance, flexibility, speed and accuracy with a quick learning curve for new inexperienced users while allowing for profound analysis capabilities for the most advanced users and researchers. It retains the ease of use and familiar features of the previous version of QForm including; simulation of both 2D and 3D problems, detection of laps, flow through, and non-fill defects as well as full tool simulation capabilities including die stress and die wear. However QForm7 includes many new features and improved functionality.

QFORM3D software was developed in 2002 by QuantorForm Ltd. as an extension of QFORM2D. The software combines 2D and 3D simulation and it retains the easy interface from QFORM2D. For 3D simulations you simply select “solid body models” for the dies and the workpiece as the initial geometry data. QFORM3D is used for the simulation of hot, warm and cold forming processes. The software predicts material flow defects, identifies the temperature distribution, and calculates the load and consumption of energy for the deformation.
